Training
To become a certified professional coach, specific training in coaching is essential.
Then, once the certification is acquired, it is valid for a period of 3 years. To renew the coach must continue to coach and to follow programs that will give him the required CCEUs (Continuing Coaching Education Credits).
Programs
ICF recognizes three types of programs
ACSTH
Approved Coach Specific Training Hours
These programs have at least 125 hours of coaching training.
If the coach candidate has at least 500H of coaching active,
and recognized by ICF, the coach may request accreditation directly at the CCP level, bypassing the ACC.
ACTP
Accredited Coach Training Programs
These programs prepare directly to a level CCP certification. These programs have at least 125 hours of coaching training.
CCE
Continuing Coach Education
The evenings organized by ICF Belgium, as well as teleconferences organized by ICF International generally qualify for CCE units (CCEU's).
