From potential to action: promoting coaching in the medical field

This interactive conference explores the place and value of professional coaching in the healthcare sector in Belgium.  The purpose is to identify coaching needs and challenges in the medical field.

Isabelle De Wulf, an ICF-certified coach, dietitian-nutritionist, and former teacher, will share her experience and draw inspiration from international models, particularly those developed by Elyade Impact in Canada.

Participants will be invited to reflect on the unique value of ICF coaching, the specific needs of medical teams, and the criteria for identifying coachable patients or professionals.

The conference will address:
•    The specific characteristics and challenges of the medical world: stress, cohesion, leadership
•    Opportunities to improve team well-being and performance through coaching
•    Barriers to integrating coaching into healthcare practices

A significant amount of time will be devoted to working in small groups to:
•    Define the unique roles of coaches in the medical sector
•    Propose criteria and methods for identifying potential beneficiaries of coaching
•    Share their conclusions in order to build a collective and concrete vision

Main objectives if the conference:
•    Identify coaching needs and challenges in the medical field
•    Understand the specific value of coaching and the barriers to its integration
•    Work together to develop concrete actions to strengthen the recognition of coaching in Belgium within the medical community
