ICF Belgium a officiellement répondu à la proposition de résolution visant à encadrer légalement le métier de coach en Belgique.
Dans sa réponse, le Chapitre belge de l’ICF soutient l’objectif de protection des consommateurs et la clarification de la distinction entre coaching professionnel et psychothérapie, tout en plaidant pour une régulation proportionnée, alignée sur les standards internationaux reconnus.
ICF Belgium souligne notamment l’importance :
• d’une définition légale claire du coaching alignée sur les standards ICF
• de la reconnaissance des accréditations internationales (ACC, PCC, MCC)
• du respect de l’éthique, de la transparence et de la véracité des pratiques
• d’une approche cohérente avec les principes européens d’autorégulation
ICF Belgium has officially responded to the proposed parliamentary resolution aiming to establish a legal framework for the coaching profession in Belgium.
In its response, the Belgium Chapter of ICF supports the objective of protecting consumers and clarifying the distinction between professional coaching and psychotherapy, while strongly advocating for proportionate regulation aligned with internationally recognised standards.
ICF Belgium highlights the importance of:
• a clear legal definition of coaching aligned with ICF standards
• recognition of international accreditations (ACC, PCC, MCC)
• ethical practice, transparency and truthful communication
• a regulatory approach consistent with European self-regulation principles
ICF Belgium heeft officieel gereageerd op het parlementaire voorstel van resolutie dat tot doel heeft een wettelijk kader te creëren voor het coachingsberoep in België.
In haar antwoord onderschrijft ICF Belgium het belang van consumentenbescherming en het duidelijke onderscheid tussen professioneel coachen en psychotherapie, met een sterke nadruk op proportionele regelgeving in lijn met internationaal erkende standaarden.
ICF Belgium benadrukt het belang van:
• een duidelijke wettelijke definitie van coaching volgens ICF-normen
• erkenning van internationale accreditaties (ACC, PCC, MCC)
